The Latest News on One-Punch Man Season 3
One-Punch Man's third season was announced via a page in the manga chapter that released on August 18, 2022. That chapter signaled the end of One-Punch Man's long-running Monster Association saga, which many fans expect will be the focal point of season 3. Season 2 ended after adapting only the very beginning of the Monster Association saga, so it's fair to assume it will pick back up essentially where it left off. The page with the announcement included little information; merely an image of Saitama, Garou, and the number three.

One-Punch Man Fans Get A Disappointing Season 3 Update
After years of slow-drip updates regarding the new season of the One-Punch Man anime, fans must once again deal with disappointment.
On February 29, 2024, the first trailer for One-Punch Man season 3 was released. The trailer featured a battle between Garou and two monsters, Bug God and Royal Ripper, while narration described the series' concept of Limiters, which place a maximum cap on the amount of power that a being can wield. Saitama has no Limiter, meaning his potential strength is unbounded. The subject of Limiters and how to break them plays a major role in the Monster Association saga. This, plus the fight scene, confirms that the season will cover the Monster Association storyline.
The trailer also reveals that season 3 of One-Punch Man will be animated by J.C. Staff, the same studio who animated season 2 of One-Punch Man.
The Story of One-Punch Man Season 3
Fans can expect the story of One-Punch Man season 3 to start at essentially the same point where it stopped, and continue adapting the manga's Monster Association saga. The saga focuses heavily on Garou, One-Punch Man's hero-hunting villain who appeared in the second season and has a goal of becoming not just a monster, but the greatest and most-feared monster of all time.
Garou was last seen being taken to the Monster Association headquarters, leaving fans with the impression that Garou is about to be invited to the dangerous group. Based on the manga, fans can expect to see many of the monsters introduced in the last few episodes of season 2 make major appearances, as they are all executives of the Monster Association organization. The story arc also offers the opportunity for many S-class heroes to shine, as the heroes go to war with the Monster Association to save a kidnapped child.

One-Punch Man Season 3 Will Blow Fans Away After Season 2 Disappointment
After the major disappointment caused by its Season 2, One-Punch Man fans can rest assured that the recently-announced Season 3 will be much better.
The Characters of One-Punch Man Season 3
All the characters fans are familiar with from previous seasons can be expected to return in One-Punch Man's third season. Garou, who was a prominent figure in season 2, will see even more screentime, as he becomes almost a second protagonist throughout the Monster Association arc. Characters related to him, such as the hero Bang and his brother Bomb, can also be expected to appear in major roles.
The S-class heroes also take a more prominent role in this season, leading the charge against the Monster Association. Their difficulties working together form a major theme of the Monster Association saga, and the characters see more focus than they have previously as a result. To accommodate these new characters, it's also likely that fans will see less of Saitama, as he sometimes drifts out of focus in this story arc.
One-Punch Man Season 3 Has No Release Date Revealed Yet
No release date for season 3 of One-Punch Man has been announced. One-Punch Man's second season was announced in 2016 but didn't air until 2019, although that was largely due to a complicated change in production studios that took place. The first season was announced in March 2015 and aired in October 2015, a much more reasonable timeframe. With that in mind, a release date no earlier than late 2023 can be expected, with a 2024 release a distinct possibility.
